Sigh…
I am in the office again…i still miss the trees of orchard road, the atmosphere of Borders, and a lil bit missing Gleneagles USG’s lab (@annexe block) vending machine…kkk…and also in the lists is…Starbucks and MacD’s surfzone…
This time i still didnt make it to go to Sentosa…(i’ve been to spore soo many times n never been to Sentosa…i suddenly remember a lady i met @the waiting room of dr.Yeoh Swee In’s (my mom’s endocrine doctor) waiting room…
Lady:Ah…you go to see Sentosa’s dancing fountain a???
Me: Not yet…(plus khatsa cutey smile)
Lady:A…how come a?u must go there…the technology is so great, so dat the fountain can follow the songs, dancing a…u must a…u have not come to singapore before going to sentosa…remember dat!…
So cute a?…hahaha…
Tons of thing has happened beyond my expectation der…
1. Yui treated me a "welcome dinner" on Monday sept.13,2005
She said dat she has been longing for so long to eat @ (oops, i forget da name, ie, can u remind me the resto’s name?).It was a chinese restaurant @ da basement of Paragon…evrytime yui asked shin (her hubby) 2 eat der, there’re always a long queue…so, this time, she could fulfill her "desire" (kkk…).We ordered YangZhou fried rice, cha dou miao, shui jiao (swee kiao)or dumpling, n a bowl of beef noodle…kkkk…dun laugh…yui and i were almost dying for the feeling of full in our stomach…n dat nite, i made myself walked till almost 10.30…just to burn da calories…
Dat nite, yui also gave me a bday gift…it’s a nice blue swarovski’s beads necklace-but-can-be-wear-as-bracelet -oso.I wore it till yesterday when it was stucked on my uncle’s car…so dat i lost the biggest beads on dat neck/brace-let…hicks…i have told yui just now and she said," So,it’s better to be a necklace only"…so sorry yui for not keeping it carefully…disappointing khatsa…T_T
2. I finally showed my mom the wonders of Ikea…
We visited de store on Wednesday, sept.14,2005…well, i’ve visited da ikeas in hongkong n beijing…i told my mom bout da stores n she showed an expression which stated "maybe it’s just a common store, just da brand made u like ‘em".My mom loves simplicity, and i could see the excitement out from her whenever we walked in da store’s showroom…I wrote down the items she liked, but i know she wouldnt buy them all, coz our baggage would be over soo much…but yes, she does love Ikea…
3. Da bookstores…
This time i only went to Borders and Mph bookstore @ raffles city…but i spent my money almost 60% on books…so crazyyyy, isn’t it???But i didnt regret at all coz i found an oasis thru ‘em…i bought SARK’s The Bodacious Book of Succulence, Travelers’ Tale’s Sand in My Bra, Sarah MacDonald’s Holy Cow, Wei Hui’s Marrying Budha and also Cleo’s October’ issue, and 8th days…the sark’s is a succulent book for women especially, daring u to live ur life according to u only. The sand in my bra and holy cow are women’s adventures books…hilarious and refreshing…i really need them back here in jember (to remind me dat the world is soooo huge…even Ian Fleming’s 007 said the world is not enough…kkk). Marrying Budha is the continuation of Wei Hui’s Shanghai baby (which i bought in my previous visit to Singapore…n actually i found the translation in Indonesia @Gramedia, but i prefer to read it in English…i dun want the translation’s edition coz maybe they make the words lamer or softer for Indonesians consumption).Missing Borders already…
There still a lot to be wrote here…but i scanned them to dat 4 points above…kkk…my cousin irwan and i almost paid visit to Chrisye (Indonesian’s pop music legend who still in Mount E for his lung cancer),if we didnt go to visit my mom’s friend @Mount E also…
Hmmhmmm…for those who resides in Spore or other big cities will think dat da girl who update this blog is the first timer to Singapore or just addicted to da developed country…but hey, you should try to live here, in da small city which da i-net bill is sooooo expensive…hahahaha…
Hmhmh, but, you guys should read my cousin, annelia’s (my former student kkkk)blog…she’s in china now, beijing for the exact…for studying chinese. You will see us such a yin-yang when it comes to our feeling toward Jember…She loves here, I hate here…kkk…but, i believe, dat God creates enithing with positive and negative side…nothing is 100% good or 100% bad…only He himself is 100% good for us…
Okie…i stop here for the singapore things…cya zun..
hmmmm….. I miss S’pore too T_T Well, anyway, what that lady said about Sentosa is rite. It’s so pity that you have been in S’pore for many times, but you never have a change to visit the island. Sentosa is beautiful, The bird park is wonderful, and the night safari is amazing. BUT, it’s still can’t compare to our BALI!! (So Indonesianis huh? but I think e’body will agree with me ;)hehehe…)
About the book stores, hmmm…. you amazed me this way! You bought a lot of books written in english! That’s great khatsa…. Well, I also love to read them, but I think, nowadays, what I need more is an “easy-reading” book (especially the one that could make me laughing such as Hey Conchita!) Maybe I should try to read them… especially about the adventures.
Anyway, it must be great if we could go there together someday… hehehehe…. Hope that you still remember our dream about travelling together someday
