Have u ever met someone in your life who actually till the second you read my blog u have never met him/her enimore, but he/she helps u colored ur life???
I did.
Back in October 2004, I joined a camp, let say, it was a camp for giving you a knowledge about healthy living. I met a girl of my age there. That 2 weeks only made us told our stories. We jogged together in the morning (till some of the joggers thought she was my big sis), prepared some of the healthy meals, went to mall, etc, etc….Just dat, just the ordinary girl friend stuffs and as soon as I went home from the camp, we never talked again, till now.
One thing dat came out my mind this evening was what Sisca (her name) had showed me from his journey. She is working in cruise ship. She showed me her photos in
Seattle (where the one of the vessels she worked in based at),
South America ’s countries (
Peru , etc, etc), the photos of
Suez Canal ,…etc, etc…whoah…the places I could only dream of (for this time)…
She also told me dat she’s been serving the cruises to Alaska…(the cities I used to mentioned to my clients when I worked as an outbound tour officer)…Ketchikan, Prince William’s Sound, Vancouver, etc, etc…I was so happy the time she told me ‘bout the Alaska cruise, at least I did understood what she was talking about since I have learnt them from the meeting I attended for selling the Alaskan Cruise and the guide books also worked so well…
Two stories dat I still remember were when she got smallpox so dat she got an empty guest room with balcony with ocean view and also a stupid fellow from one of European country (I forgot one) who tried to do a suicide by jumping into the Alaskan ocean and the crews found her alive lied in an icing land (am I rite? Icing land???kkkk…^^)…
I didn’t really spend dat two weeks with her, coz she had to leave for a job interview dat she didn’t really into it in the 3rd day of our 2nd weeks, just because her mom didn’t want her to be back at the ocean. But, the last time I heard her news from her mom, she has been back to the ocean again.
One thing dat I learn from her is dat she wants to fight for pursuing her dream. She once said, “Well, u know, Kat, if I have your diploma and certificates, I wouldn’t have to be suffered carrying around guests plates, glasses, etc, but I will take the customer assistance position (a division where they accompany the guest to help them choosing some tours when the cruise ship land in a certain place, sort of concierge’s job description in a hotel).
She loves to travel and not afraid to struggle for it…well, it’s kind of knocking me lately…
